SUPPORT QUESTIONS
Q: What will I need to play the downloaded file on my computer?
A: If you do not have it installed already you will need to download Windows Media Player (version 9 or higher). There are versions available for any Windows or Mac operating system. Please visit Microsoft's download page and select the version that's best for you by clicking here

Q: Why am I only allowed 10 download attempts for each of the files I purchased?
A: This is to prevent fradulent use of our download system. If for some reason you fail to download any file after 10 attempts please contact us through our Support Center and open a support ticket.

Q: What screen size are the downloaded files?
A: All downloadable video files are VGA (640x480) sized. This is equivalent to a standard video image size.

Q: Can I enlarge the video to full screen during playback?
A: Yes. You can enlarge the image to full screen size by clicking on the appropriate button on your Windows Media Player. See the player's help section for more information.

Q: Can I play the downloaded file on a regular TV?
A: Yes. Many DVD players today can play Windows Media files without any conversion. You will need to burn the downloaded file onto a DVD. There are also many other third party software programs that allow you to convert the Windows Media file and create a standard DVD that can be played on most DVD players.

Q: Can I play my video or DVD anywhere in the world?
A: No. The video tapes we send out are recorded using the NTSC standard which is primarily used in the U.S., Canada and a few other countries. Some of the newer DVDs we offer use the Region '0' standard which allows them to be played anywhere.

Q: Can I stream the downloadable file in my Windows Media Player?
A: Yes, if you have a fast enough internet connection but it is highly ill advised to stream any of these files. It is better to save the file onto your hard disk in a folder you select for playback later. If you stream the video the downloaded file goes into your browser's disk cache and will be a lot harder to find later on and could be deleted by your computer automatically if your browser's disk cache reaches it's assigned disk space capacity.

Q: How long will it take to download the files I purchased?
A: Download speeds vary based on a number of factors. The biggest factor is the connection speed that you have to the internet. You can use the following table as a guide to average download speeds. For extremely large files it is suggested that you try to download them during the overnight hours when internet traffic is lower.

  250 MB 500 MB 750 MB 1 GB
386 kbps 107.2 mins. 214.4 mins. 320.0 mins. 427.2 mins.
768 kbps 53.6 mins. 107.2 mins. 160.0 mins. 213.6 mins.
1.5 mbps 26.8 mins. 53.6 mins. 80.0 mins. 106.8 mins.
3.0 mbps 13.4 mins. 26.8 mins. 40.0 mins. 53.4 mins.
6.0 mbps 6.7 mins. 13.4 mins. 20.0 mins. 26.7 mins.

Q: How will I know if the file downloaded completely?
A: We included the approximate file sizes of each product on the individual product pages. You can either write down the approximate file size or check our web site and then compare the info to the file size of your completed downloaded.

Q: I am having trouble downloading the full file. Am I doing something wrong?
A: Probably not. Your download may be timing out which indicates that at some point the flow of data stops and your computer seems to think that's all there is. Here are several possible solutions which could help you download your files completely:

1. Be sure to select "Save" or "Save File As..." when prompted by your browser at the start of the download. It is not advisable to "Open" the file as this will stream the file and locating it for playback later will be difficult for those that are not familiar with their browser's disk cache and how it works. Save the file in a folder or location that is easy to remember. These files can take a long time to download and you could forget where you placed it!

2. Try to use a download manager that can help establish multiple connections to our server and will enable you to re-start your download at the point it stopped in case your connection is lost. There are many free and paid download managers available. If you are using Microsoft Windows (any version) we recommend the Free Download Manager software available at:
http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm

Mac users can find a good download manager called Speed Download at:
http://www.yazsoft.com/

3. Make sure you turn off all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while you are attempting any downloads. You can turn them back on when the download is complete. Also, it is advisable to temporarily turn off any other background programs that may be using a lot of your computer's resources. Background programs include browser toolbars and widgets that access the internet at regular intervals.

4. If you are on a shared internet connection (like a cable modem) try to download the files during off-peak hours which is usually overnight.

5. Try to use a wired connection to your router or network hub/switch. A Wi-Fi connection can sometimes be affected by other factors which could cause the download to time-out. It is also a good idea to re-start the router or hub/switch before you begin any downloads. Wait at least 1 minute before powering the unit back up so that anything resident in the unit's RAM will clear first.

6. Make sure you are not downloading any other large files at the same time which can cause a data traffic jam on your local network. This would increase the possibility of your download timing-out.

7. If you need to make another download attempt you should first clear your browser's disk cache before you start. Refer to your browser's 'Help' section if you need more information on how to do this.

If you still experience problems downloading after trying these suggestions you should open up a support ticket by visiting our Support Center. Also, if you need to have your download counter reset please make a request through the download manager on our web site.

Q: Can I play a partially downloaded file?
A: Yes. Windows Media Files can be played right up the the point where the download ended.

Q: When I play the file I can't seem to fast forward or rewind. Is something wrong with the file?
A: Maybe. Most likely the file download was incomplete or the file became corrupted during the download. You should make another download attempt and follow the suggestions in the FAQ on downloads listed above. Another cause may be that you do not have a recent version of Windows Media Player installed. You must have version 9 or higher. Please see the first Support FAQ for a link to Microsoft's download web site for the most recent version of Windows Media Player.
